Benois Madonna otherwise known as the Madonna and Child with Flowers is a painting done by Leonardo da Vinci done in 1478. It wasn’t until Maria Sapozhnikova who had the painting married Leon Benois, from the Benois family (that the painting was then renamed to Benois Madonna) which became part of the part of the inheritance of the Benois family
It is believed by some that Benois Madonna is the fist painting to be painted by da Vinci without the help from his master.
