Not long after he moved to Amsterdam, In 1633, making the only seascape painting done by Rembrandt.

the painting links to the biblical story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee, exactly as it’s described in Chapter four – Gospel of Mark.

Not only does the painting show how well Rembrandt represented ancient history, but also how well he drew us to focus on each passengers response to the storm.
