Prometheus was the Titan who gave man fire. Prometheus Bound and the Oceanids is a statue that was carved from a single block of marble.
German sculptor Eduard Müller depicts the Oceanids as beautiful nymphs who try to console a chained Prometheus. One even attempts to force away the eagle sent by Zeus.
This sculpture is on display in the National Gallery in Berlin, Germany.
