Perseus and the Gorgon (also known as Perseus Killing Medusa) is a sculpture by French artist Laurent Marqueste, and is one of a series of five statues made between 1875 and 1903. In order of duplication within the series, the statue was created first in plaster, then bronze, then plaster again, and finally, two marble versions.
