Norwegian artist Edvard Munch’s Self-Portrait with Cigarette is an 1895 painting that aroused controversy following it’s 1895 exhibition.

Munch’s use of the cigarette and physical decay was a symbol of rejection to societal values.

As of 2021, the work is held by the National Gallery in Oslo.
