Camaino di Crescentino (1260–1338) was an Italian sculptor and architect , father of the better known Tino di Camaino. Between 1299 and 1317 he is documented in Siena as master builder of the Opera del Duomo, realizing the upper part of the facade of the Cathedral. In 1295 he designed the public fountain and wash house called Fonte Nuova , in Siena, one of the most illustrious examples of Sienese Gothic architecture.
Between about 1317 and 1325 , still in Siena, he built the baptistery of San Giovanni del Duomo.
